Conference

  1. What is NAWC?

    NAWC (North American Women’s Conference), is an annual conference to help:

    • Build relationships among Toyota women as a way to strengthen workplace engagement;
    • Provide new opportunities for professional development for high potential leaders across the organization; and
    • Inspire women to challenge the status quo and better visualize their career path.

    This year’s conference theme is ACTAccelerate, Connect, Transform.

  2. Where will the NAWC conference take place?

    The opening evening reception and dinner followed by the all-day conference, as well as the Friday optional activity, will take place at the Renaissance Dallas Addison Hotel in Dallas, Texas.

  3. Who attends the conference?

    Toyota team members from many job levels, affiliates and group companies (e.g. TMNA, TFS, all NAMCs, TCI, TMEX, TRI, TC, etc.) are selected through a nomination process by division leaders. Representatives from all North American Toyota affiliates will be in attendance, including executives, WIIT Business Partnering Group chapter leaders, and other women who consistently go the extra mile and have demonstrated leadership within Toyota.

  4. What if I can't attend this year? Can I delegate to someone I work with?

    Unfortunately, no. Group Vice Presidents/Plant Presidents have carefully identified each member representing their teams, so invitations are not transferable. We ask that you be mindful of your peers as there are only a limited number of spots. Please contact us as soon as possible if you cannot attend.

  5. What is the attire?

    • Wednesday, November 6th (Campus Tours) is business casual with jeans allowed.
    • Wednesday, November 6th (optional evening reception and dinner) is business attire.
    • Thursday, November 7th (conference and dinner) is business attire.
    • Friday, November 8th (optional activity) is business casual with jeans allowed.

    IMPORTANT NOTE FOR the Plano Headquarters Campus tours on Wednesday, November 6th:

    • We are offering the tour twice:
      • 1st tour: 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm (return to hotel by 3:00 pm)
      • 2nd tour: 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm (return to hotel by 4:00 pm) 
    • Reservation can be made through the web registration.
    • Transportation will be provided to and from the HQ campus.
  6. How many breakout sessions will be offered?

    There is one breakout session in the morning which you will be assigned depending on your job level.  There are six breakout sessions offered in the afternoon of which you will have the opportunity to attend two.

  7. When will my breakout session selections be confirmed?

    Your personalized agenda will be available on the NAWC app two weeks prior to the conference. Your breakout sessions will also be printed on your conference badge.

  8. When will the NAWC app be launched?

    The NAWC app will be launched approximately two weeks prior to the conference and all participants will receive an email with download and access instructions.

Travel

  1. How should I book travel for the conference?

    A) Participants arriving from a US location (TMNA/TFS/NAMCs):  Flight (and Rental Car, if required)

    Please book air travel through the Travel Vision online system and follow the instructions below:

      1. Select Flight (and Car, if needed) Book Travel
      2. Deselect Hotel
        1. Note: Please DO NOT book your hotel through Travel Vision,
          follow the instruction below - "Hotel" section.
    2. Select Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) or Dallas Love Field Airport (DAL) for your arrival and departure flights
    3. After selecting your flight, please answer the “Policy compliance” section as “I am attending a conference/tradeshow/convention and will book my hotel through the event site.”

    4. Complete the "Company Information" section by selecting "Conference/Tradeshow" from the 'Business Purpose' drop down menu, also enter "NAWC 2019" in the "add Purpose of trip" field. See example below:

    5. B) Participants from an international location: Flight (and Rental Car, if required)

      Please utilize your standard air reservation process to book your flight to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) or Dallas Love Field Airport (DAL). Once your reservations have been booked, please send a confirmation email to the NAWC Inbox (NAWC@toyota.com) with the following details:

      • Date and time of arrival flight into DFW or DAL with flight number.
      • Date and time of departureflight from DFW or DAL with flight number.

Hotel

  1. How should I book the hotel?

    Please go to this link to book your stay directly with the negotiated rate of $189.00/night for Toyota Motor North American Women's Conference at Renaissance Dallas Addison Hotel no later than Tuesday, October 22, 2019.

  2. How will expenses be covered?

    Each team member's cost center is responsible for all travel expenses to and from the conference, including airfare, ground transportation, and hotel. Most meals are provided as part of the overall conference experience.

  3. Who should approve my travel?

    Your direct supervisor/manager should approve your travel.

  4. I am based in Plano. Should stay at the hotel?

    In an effort to balance maximizing your experience with business need, Plano-based team members should work with their supervisor to make a decision whether to stay at the conference hotel.

  5. When should I arrive?

    Please plan to fly into either Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) or Dallas Love Field Airport (DAL):

    • Renaissance Dallas Addison Hotel is less than a 30-minute ride from DFW and less than 20 minutes from DAL.
    • If you plan on attending the Plano Headquarter campus tours on Wednesday, November 6th, arrive no later than Wednesday morning. First tour will start at 1:00 pm CST. Hotel check-in starts from 3:00 pm, but you can leave your luggage at the front desk.
    • In addition to the campus tours, there will be a reception and dinner at Renaissance Dallas Addison Hotel starting at 5:30 pm CST on Wednesday, November 6th, that you will not want to miss!
  6. How should I get from the airport to the Renaissance Dallas Addison Hotel?

    We recommend a cab or Uber/Lyft. There is no need to rent a car unless you have plans beyond the conference.

  7. When should I plan to depart from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) or Dallas Love Field Airport (DAL)?

    If you plan on attending the optional Friday activities, then you can plan your departure time in the afternoon. Optional activities will end at 12:00 pm.

  8. If I plan to extend my stay in Dallas, how do I extend my hotel reservation?

    Please call the hotel reservation line at 1-972-386-6000 to extend your stay. The group rate cannot be guaranteed for any nights other than the three conference nights (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday night). Additional nights will be based on hotel availability.

  1. How do I request a conference accommodation?

    If you need a Wellness room during the conference or would like to request a reasonable accommodation due to a disability or a religious need for any part of the conference, please let us know by emailing NAWC@toyota.com.

  2. How do I navigate around the NAWC conference?

    Most NAWC events will take place at Renaissance Dallas Addison Hotel. See the hotel map provided below for reference.

  3. Can you please provide driving directions and hotel maps?

  4. Are there any organized run/walk activity this year?

    No, but if you're interested in getting some exercise in during the conference, we invite you to check out some of the local studios and fitness options in the area. There are several different options in the Addison area for you to find a good workout, and we’ve listed a few here to help you find the workout that best suits your preferences.

    • Running and Jogging Route: a lovely jogging route is outlined in this jogging map provided by the Renaissance Hotel. This route takes you by Addison Circle Park, which provides a scenic park to pass through on your run.
    • 24 Hour Fitness: located just across the highway, 24 Hour Fitness is close to the hotel and offers a free 3-day pass if you haven’t been a member in the last 6 months.
    • Pure Barre: this studio is one block from the hotel and offers barre classes each morning that combine strength training, yoga and Pilates moves to give you a total body workout. Pure Barre offers a free introduction class when you sign up online ahead of time.
  5. What other helpful hotel information do I need to know?

    • Standard check-in time is 3:00 pm and check-out time is 11:00 am.
    • Early check-in and late check-out requests may be fulfilled based on hotel availability.
    • Onsite self-parking is available at a discounted rate of $10 per day/night. Valet parking is $20 per day for in and out parking or $28 for overnight parking. If you are staying at the hotel, the discounted charge for parking will be applied to your room. If you are not staying at the hotel, please pick up a sticker at the registration desk each day to receive the discounted parking rate.
    • Wi-Fi is complimentary throughout hotel lobby and public areas.
    • An onsite fitness center is open 24 hours a day.
    • Seasonal outdoor swimming pool is available.

    The NAWC website (www.toyotanawc.com) and the app have all the information you will need about this year’s event. The NAWC app will be launched approximately two weeks prior to the event.
